MDI: Angelo Rapan

Born in Romania Angelo Rapan studied at the George Enescu Music Academy of Bucharest, Romania; Ars Nova Academy and L'Escola de Musica of Barcelona, Spain; Musik Academy der Stadt of Basel, Switzerland; and graduated from the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles, Belgium in piano performance. Angelo has won numerous piano competitions including The Frederic Chopin and Bela Bartok National Competitions in Romania and the Maria Canals International Competition in Spain. In addition to solo performances, Angelo has also performed with the ADEM Quartet, La Camera Lirica, Tango al Sur, Memphis Opera, and Memphis Vocal Arts Ensemble. As Musical Director, Angelo's repertoire extends from Classical Offenbach's 'Choufleurie', Ravel's 'Angelique' to Broadway - Bernstein's 'West Side Story', Schwartz's 'Godspell'. Since arriving in Hong Kong, Angelo has debuted as the Assistant Musical Director in Hong Kong Singer's 'Crazy for You', Choir Master for American Community Theater's 'Quilters', Musical Director for Hong Kong Singer's 'Mr. Musical'.
