Performance Class for Singers

The Music & Drama Institute will hold auditions throughout the year for Performance Class for Singers. The classes which last for 6 weeks each (12 hours in total) will be offered six times during each academic year.

Requirements: Auditions must take place in person, with 2 songs in Classical or musical theatre style sung from memory, and with live accompaniment.

Individual auditions will be held at The Music & Drama Institute by appointment throughout the year.

Those accepted as full participants will be expected to perform one song or aria in each class every week, but allowed to repeat the same composition once in the following class. Preference will be given to students with technical ability and absence of vocal deficiencies (technical or physical). Suitable for advanced beginners to advanced intermediate level.

According to the MDI policy, students taking classes, with a minimum enrollment of 5 participants, do not have to be students of The Music & Drama Institute's Artist-Teachers in order to be accepted into any class activities.
