Pre-Certificate Studies in Music Performance (PCP) | Any area of study offered at The MDI may be covered, except courses and activities that are limited to the participants in the CMP or DMP Programs. The PCP Program is suitable for children (Junior 1 Level), teens (Junior 2 Level), or adults (senior Level), and is designed to give students with any level of music background, the opportunity to freely select the training they require, in order to develop and improve skills and knowledge related to music performance. The Pre-Certificate Studies in Music Performance (PCP) have no pre-set time limit for completion, an is the most suitable approach for students who do not wish to commit to a complete program. The PCP Program does not allow for the accumulation of credits toward other MDI Programs. |
The MDI Certificate of Music Performance (CMP) | The MDI Certificate of Music Performance (CMP) requires a minimum of 2 years of part-time studies. The areas of study that must be covered during the study include: The CMP Program is suitable for teens (senior II) or adults, and is designed to give students with limited music background, the necessary fundamental skills and knowledge for music performance. Graduates are expected to reach a level of achievement equal to the entry level of the DMP program. - Entry to the CMP Program based on placement examinations. MDI students must compete with other candidates
- Auditions and examinations may be repeated each semester, but only 3 auditions will be allowed.
- Classes may be repeated up to three times.
- No extra credit can be obtained by repeating classes.
- The latest achieved result will count.
- In case of withdrawal from the program before completion of the required number of credits, all credits will become null and void.
- In case of temporary withdrawal from the program for up to one one calendar year before completion of the required number of credits, all credits will remain valid.

The MDI Diploma of Music Performance (DMP) | The MDI Diploma of Music Performance (DMP) requires a minimum of 2 years of part-time studies. The areas of study that must be covered during the study include : The DMP Program is suitable for teens (senior II) or adults, and is designed to give students with music background equivalent to graduates of the CMP program pre-professional skills and knowledge for music performance. Graduates are expected to reach a level of achievement equal to the entry level of undergraduate studies at internationally renowned music conservatories or music departments around the world. - Entry to the DMP Program by audition only. CMP graduates must compete with other candidates
