CURRICULUM
MUSIC HISTORY

The study of Music history enables you to understand and discuss how Western music has evolved over the past 1,000 years, by learning how the different styles and genres of music have evolved in the Western culture as expressions of the human spirit.

Using a wide variety of musical examples and audio-visual learning materials, the student of Music history is encouraged to explore key topics related to vocal or instrumental music, and develop critical and logical thinking about musical styles, genres, and the cultural environment of both the past and the present.
