Purpose & Goals:
To teach the student of music a thorough and systematic approach to Music Theory, and develop the ability to use these skills with confidence and consistency on a level required for successfully completing examinations equivalent to corresponding ABRSM grade levels.

Content & Activities:
Music Theory gives you a written and spoken language for dealing with music. After analyzing the basic elements of music, such as rhythm, pitch, and harmony, and understanding how they interrelate, this skill is gradually developed through specially designed exercises and musical examples.
Prerequisites:
Entry level to each grade equivalent to the preceding grade levels of ABRSM Practical and Music Theory examinations. Recommended as parallel study with training on any instrument or in voice and together with Ear Training & Sight Singing.

Evaluation:
Attendance minimum required 90%
