Purpose & Goals:
To give the beginning student of drama a thorough and systematic approach to the principles of acting, and develop the knowledge and critical thinking required for making decisions about expression, gestures, vocal use, and text interpretation.

Content & Activities:
These individual lessons serve as an introduction to the fundamentals of acting. Students will undergo speech training, learn how to analyze the texts, study and train the ability for dramatic expression. The lessons may serve as preparation for entering the MDI's acting class, preparing for auditions locally or overseas, and for participation in productions. All texts used are in English. Scenes in German can be prepared upon request.

Prerequisites:
There is no pre-requisite for this course, but prior knowledge of film and theatrical performances is useful. Individual instruction makes it possible to adapt to each students level when starting and during the course of study.

Suitable for all levels from beginner to professional level. Children accepted as young as age 7, subject to placement test.

Attendance minimum required 90%
