To give the student of Singing a thorough and systematic approach to training technical skills, developing repertoire, learning how to prepare for performances, and to develop the knowledge and critical thinking required for understanding musical styles and traditions relevant to vocal performance.
Content & Activities:
Individual instruction covering the essential functions of the voice as related to the Western style of operatic and classical singing. Progressive study of repertoire suited for the specific abilities and voice type of the student. Performance preparation.
Prerequisites:
There is no pre-requisite for this course, but prior knowledge of any other music subjects is useful. Individual instruction makes it possible to adapt to each students level when starting and during the course of study.
Suitable for all levels and ages from beginner to professional level.
