One of the many unique features of The Music & Drama Institute is giving part-time students of music & drama access to the fastest growing performing arts library in Hong Kong.
The Music & Drama Institute maintains a small library with current holdings of around 3000 items for the use of its staff and students. All items are catalogued according international library systems, and include a wide range of audio-visual materials, musical scores and reference materials, as well as dictionaries and musical biographies.
The computerized library catalogue makes it easy to search for items by many different criteria and to create printed lists of study materials of all available media, such as books, recordings, visual images, etc.
A special feature of the Performing Arts Library is a Repertoire list containing over 50,000 entries allowing staff and students to make tailor-made searches for music scores and Audio-Visual recordings according to level of study and instrument or voice-type.
The library also has comfortable attractive facilities for study and research, enabling various activities simultaneously. Teaching Staff and Students who are registered with The Music & Drama Institute are entitled to borrowing privileges in accordance with the current Library Regulations.
Opening hours are Monday through Saturday 10:00 am to 8:00 pm, Sunday closed.
